Family visits! (part 2)

On Tuesday, after everyone was well-rested, we drove up to the campus so they could see what it was like.  This is my dad, grandpa, and me standing on the stairs leading to all of the buildings.
This is us standing in front of the view of the city from campus.
On the way driving down the hill, there was another really good view of the city so we stopped and got out of the car to take some more pictures.
After that, we headed to Annecy.  It was a beautiful day there.  We came in by the lake and wandered around that park for a bit.
After that, we headed into the vieux ville (old city).
And we got some lunch at a little restaurant by the side of the canal.  I had a mozzarella and tomato salad.  This is my mom and I sitting there.
After that, we walked around the newer part of Annecy a bit more and got some gelato.  Then we decided to head back to Chambéry.
My parents and I took my mountain hike and my grandparents met us at the top in the car after having a glass of wine at a little inn down the street.
Headed up the path:
We came across a pasture of cows:
Once we got to the top, we could see that it was storming down in the valley where the city is.  You can kind of tell in this picture:
When we got done with our hike, we went to Le Sporting so that they could try some Savoyard cuisine.
We ordered Raclette:
They thought it was kind of a heavy meal so it wasn't their favorite but I think in general they thought it was fine.  After that, we all headed home.
